Administrator: Cindy White

Whiting Healthcare Center Administrator, Cynthia White, (Cindy)comes to us with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. Cindy is a graduate of Quinnipiac College with a degree in Gerontology and Health Administration.
Cindy's long time background in Hotel Restaurant & Nightclub Management and Promotions Director introduces a Hospitality/Customer Service flare to the industry as well.
Cindy began as an Activities Assistant in the LTC field, earned her Certification as Activities Director, obtained a Specialty Certification in Alzheimer's/Dementia Programming and has taken an active role in designing, opening and certifying several Alzheimer's units throughout the community.
Cindy later obtained her Licensed Nursing Home Administrator's License and has been practicing for over 8 years as an Administrator.
Cindy has been nationally recognized and awarded this past May for "Leadership Excellence in a Top Performing Facility". The American College of Healthcare Administrator's has been noted to say that Ms. White's "facility excellence is a reflection of leadership excellence". Ms. White has been recognized for achieving high health, safety and satisfaction scores skilled nursing as measured by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She has implemented a variety of quality improvement measures that are now reflected in the community's strong ratings and performance. Cindy believes in an open door policy and is readily available to support and assist residents, staff, families and visitors.
Cindy currently resides in Ocean County. She has achieved a successful career in concert with being a proud mother of one young daughter.

Director of Admissions: Cathy Gentile

Cathy has over eleven years of experience in the healthcare field. She has held positions in both business and admissions offices of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. Prior to entering the healthcare field, Cathy graduated from Central Pennsylvania Business School receiving her degree in Travel & Tourism. Cathy's extensive customer service experiences as a travel agent has enabled her to further a successful career in the healthcare industry. Her role as admissions and marketing director requires her to coordinate all referrals regarding admissions to the center and sponsor community events. Cathy has been married for 29 years and has two children.

Director of Nursing Services: Bernadette Kretzmer

Partner Development Coordinator

Janine joined the Team in July of 1999 as the Director of Rehab and has since worked as an internal case manger, Community liason and now a partnership Development Coordinator for Revera Health Systems.

She graduated from Wagner College, Staten Island, New York in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Prior to coming to Whiting Healthcare she worked for the VNA of Staten Island for 10 years. Janine's hobbies include reading and cooking.

Rehabilitation Director: Sue E. Jacobson

Sue Jacobson is dedicated to helping each resident achieve his or her own highest level of mobility and independence. Sue has 24 years of experience in a wide variety of settings, including acute care and outpatient settings. She holds a B.S. in physical therapy.

Director of Social Services: Amy Vowell, CSW

Amy Vowell is a certified social worker with over 10 years of experience. Her chief role is to help ease the transition to nursing home care for patients and their families, and to insure that residents social needs are met. In addition to her bachelor's degree and certification in social work, Amy is trained in Adult Protective Services.
